Bachelor's Degrees in Engineering
"Most engineering programs involve a concentration of study in an engineering specialty, along with courses in both mathematics and the physical and life sciences" reports the Bureau of Labor Statistics. For your degree in civil or environmental engineering, you can expect a basic courseload of general engineering and math courses, supplemented with courses in design, construction, research and relevant legal issues. Most graduates go on to earn licensure as a PE, or Professional Engineer.
