Question:I live in Nevada, and although I don’t live close to a major city I would be willing to move to Reno or Las Vegas for my career. What are my options for cosmetology school?

Named for the mines that dot the Nevada mountains and deserts like the Comstock lode, the Silver State offers cosmetology students excellent opportunities in the tourism and showbiz industries in Reno and Las Vegas. Think of all the showgirls who need to be groomed from head to toe every night before they hit the stage! A cosmetologist or esthetician can make a very good living in Nevada with a mean annual income of $25,310 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. I recently spent a week at Burning Man, located in the Black Rock desert outside of Reno, close to gorgeous Pyramid Lake. While driving back towards Reno, dusty and tired, I brainstormed on a few of the best beauty schools in the sagebrush state. These three well-known Nevada cosmetology schools are located in or around major cities like Reno or Las Vegas.
