Master Degree: Vocational Degree and Programs

Vocational education teachers are usually required to have at least a bachelor's degree, but more importantly they need career experience in the field they've chosen to teach. They generally lead classes that are in demand by employers in their area, and those employers may work with the vocational teacher to develop the curriculum and even offer internships. Therefore, to obtain the required level of knowledge and work experience, a master's degree may be required, especially for more advanced skills. While auto repair may require on-the-job training more than any particular degree, other fields, especially business and technology, may demand a higher level of career training obtained by earning a master's degree.
