In a social science program, you might take classes on the global economy, the Chinese revolution, cognitive development, or American politics and law. Most, if not all, social science programs include training in statistics as well as research methods. Some social scientists become researchers, teachers, or professors. Others find jobs with corporations, governments, or non-profit organizations. They can use their expertise to advise leaders, craft policy, or work directly with individuals or communities.
