Question:
Can an International student get F-1 VISA for the program offered. How many classes do I have to take per semester. How much is the tuition per semester?

Answer:
The F-1 Visa is a non-immigrant Visa that allows foreign students to study at colleges in the United States. Many institutions of higher education are happy to accept international students and have special offices available to help you with your transition.

If you are going to be taking a program online, will you be taking it from your home country? In that case, you will not need to have a Visa of course. But perhaps you are interested in a hybrid program at an online school, which is a program that combines both virtual, on-line learning with some in-person components.

There are some excellent sources of information on the internet to guide you through the F-1 Student Visa process. Look up Travel.state.gov, F-1 Student Visa and Immigration Support. As you read through these sites, you will be able to get a bigger picture on the issues.

However, as in many questions that I answer here, I suggest you will eventually need to communicate with admission staff at the particular schools you are interested in.

Every school, whether campus based or an online college, has its own regulations and policies.

Your first step, therefore, should be to narrow down the list of schools that seem like a good match and then contact them. As for how many classes you need to take and what the tuition is, those questions also need to be answered by the particular school.
